27 Week Pregnancy Blog (6 months!)
Written on June 10, 2016How far along? 27 weeks 5 days
Baby: This week baby looks like a thinner, redder, more wrinkled version of what she will look like at birth, but in the next few weeks more fat will fill out her appearance. Baby's immune system is continuing to mature as are her lungs which are still practicing breathing amniotic fluid. Oreo is a little over 2 - 2.5 lbs. this week and 16 inches long (the size of a cucumber and head of cauliflower)!
27 Week Bump!
Total Weight Gain: I'm still fluctuating between 10-12 lbs. (116-118). I've been eating really healthy this week, so in proud of myself for that! Veggies and salads have been my jam!
Maternity Clothes: I'm wearing half maternity clothes and half regular clothes. Thankful for my belly band and bigger shirts that make wearing my regular clothes possible!
Stretch Marks: Still applying stretch mark cream 2x a day! No new stretch marks that I can see.
Sleep: I'm sleeping okay. I'm kinda up throughout the night unfortunately. Still snacking during the night and just waking frequently. I have to have a pillow under my belly and since I'm naturally a tummy sleeper, getting comfortable is a little more difficult. No napping unfortunately! Grayson has been getting up a lot earlier -- 7am, so I've been exhausted by the end of the day!
Getting in all my activity chasing after this guy!
Miss Anything? I've felt great this week! I've been much more active and have continued to feel good. I'm getting back to doing regular activities and picking Grayson up frequently. I love feeling like myself again!! So no, not really missing anything! :)
Movement: She still moves all the time which I am so thankful for! When I am really active, I get nervous that something will go wrong, but she continues to move nonetheless. Her head is still near my belly button and she loves to stick it straight in the air...so crazy looking! She seems to be happy despite all my extra movement.
Food Cravings: I've been eating a lot of salads this week! I'm liking veggies a lot more and still not very into fruit. I would rather have a real dessert! ;) I've been limited my sweets and that's been going well!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Best Moment of the Week: This was my first full week staying home with Grayson and it was jam-packed. We spent the week seeing friends and having play dates before our move. It's been great to be home with Grayson and be busy hanging out with friends and baby friends!
Symptoms: Round ligament pain (it's been bad during the nights this week) and random Braxton Hicks (every few days).
Happy or moody: Happy!
Looking forward to: Our move next week! Definitely feeling bittersweet about it, but I'm ready to not live out of boxes and be able to settle in somewhere. I also see all 3 of my doctors next week, so I am excited and anxious for those appointments. Praying everything goes well with the regular OBGYN, thyroid doctor, and specialist!
